Creative Arts Projects

Creative arts projects are provided to Tees Valley primary and secondary schools. The projects offered can be based on a variety of different themes.

Previous themes include:– “FIESTIVAL”, and “School of Rock and Pop”. All projects are offered on a 3-day, 5-day or 10-day basis and can be taken as a block or spread over a term or holiday.

“FIESTIVAL” - An all singing, all dancing, all drumming feast of Carnival activities, engaging everybody in the school!

Each carnival has a theme (chosen by the school) and the arts sessions are based around that specified theme. Classes can take part in music workshops, dance classes - with Urban Kaos, and even create their own carnival costumes! The project culminates in a spectacular performance at the end of the week, with a mini parade and a showcase of the various activities that the young people have participated in throughout the project.

“School of Rock & Pop” - Ever wanted to be a popstar or guitar hero?! Well now you can!

The School of Rock & Pop project teaches pupils how to sing and play various rock and pop songs as well as enhancing performance skills. This enables them to showcase their new skills to an audience of family, friends and fellow students at the end of the project. 

There are strong cross-curricular links related to the School of Rock and Pop project, as the youngsters are required to carry out background research on their chosen songs, bands and artists. There is also the opportunity for all participating schools of the Rock & Pop projects to come together and perform with one another in a Summer Spectacular Concert.

Workshops 

Workshops are provided to schools, community groups, local authorities and businesses looking for unusual team-building events or the chance to have fun and learn musical skills.   

These workshops are tailored to suit the client, i.e. businesses may be looking to focus on team building skills whereas a primary school may require a workshop to focus on an anti-bullying campaign.
